Tanesha Forman is the principal of Elm City College Preparatory Middle School. Tanesha started teaching in 2006 in her hometown of Miami, Florida. In 2010, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and became a founding literacy teacher at the first KIPP school in Florida. While at KIPP she served as a grade-level lead and helped 80% of students in the bottom quartile make significant learning gains on their state reading assessment. In 2015, she joined the Achievement First family as a teacher in the Greenfield model. In her time at AF, she has served as a grade-level chair, DEI lead, and academic dean. Tanesha wants all students to thrive and to do it in a way that allows their inner brilliance to shine.
