Bus transportation is provided to all students from .5 miles to 5 miles. Families may also utilize a paid van service or request MetroCards to be used weekdays before and after school.

Achievement First East New York Elementary is a public charter school located near the New Lots neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. Serving students in kindergarten through 4th grade, we are committed to fostering lifelong learning and encouraging students to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed later in life. We take pride in providing a non-profit charter school option for families throughout Brooklyn.

    Meryl Senter

    Meryl Senter is the principal of Achievement First East New York Elementary. Mrs. Senter joined AF East New York in 2011 as a kindergarten teacher. Prior to this role, she served as the kindergarten and first grade academic dean for five years. Mrs. Senter earned her bachelor’s in elementary education from Towson University and holds a master’s degree in literacy from Teachers College at Columbia University.
