Resilience. Strength. Pride in identity. These are all ways Jeanine defines herself, and also qualities she wants to help her students develop to navigate their education and the world. Her Caribbean background, her childhood in North Carolina, and her experience at Brown – where she majored in education and anthropology- all inform who she has become. She brings her whole self to school every day, to be an example of a woman of color in STEM, to make math exciting and nurture her students’ love for it, and to help all children be the best versions of themselves.
