About Achievement First Amistad High School

Achievement First Amistad High School is a public charter school located in New Haven, CT. Serving students in 9th through 12th grade, our teachers are focused on helping students develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in college and the modern workforce. We have one important goal: 100% of students will be accepted into four-year colleges and universities.

How do we get there? We combine challenging courses and high expectations. We also make sure our students have access to all of the support that their wealthy and private school peers receive. Our support includes SAT prep, intensive college counseling and tutoring. Our classes help our students grow into leaders who not only listen to lessons, but also lead discussions and exchange ideas. Here, our students also grow as athletes, volunteers, leaders, and citizens of the world.  We are proud of our school’s strong extracurricular, varsity athletic and arts programs. And, we’re proud that our support extends beyond high school graduation.

High school counselors work closely with our alumni as they attend colleges including University of Connecticut, Yale University, Wesleyan University, Central Connecticut State University, Stanford University, Howard University, University of Pennsylvania and many more. Learn more in our brochure or our college profile.
